Description

The Inventory Operations Manager will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives, implementing inventory controls and risk management, data analysis and reporting, inventory auditing and compliance, and providing training and documentation as needed, in order to support all aspects of the Inventory Stewardship Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance customer relationships by identifying areas for improvement in the overall customer experience
  • Lead the identification and implementation of process improvements based on findings
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to establish best practices and corrective actions for inventory management
  • Ensure that corrective actions are carried out in a timely manner, and track the success of those initiatives to continuously improve inventory accuracy
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization, and innovation
  • Analyze processes to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential risks related to inventory management
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on findings, including discrepancies, recommendations for improvement, and root cause analysis
  • Generate actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies, address inefficiencies, and improve overall inventory management
  • Regularly assess inventory management processes for gaps, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies, proposing improvements or new tools where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit standards, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), and any relevant regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement audit schedules and inventory verification protocols to maintain accuracy
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to plan, organize, and manage audits with minimal disruption to daily operations
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding inventory issues, findings, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to enhance inventory processes, accuracy, and controls
  • Provide training and guidance to staff (if needed) on procedures and the importance of accurate reporting
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Supply Chain, related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years logistics, supply chain, large scale warehouse operations or related experience 
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience planning, organizing, tracking and controlling tasks to achieve goals
  • 3+ years stakeholder management and facilitation
  • 1+ specific customer experience within customer systems and knowledge of their SOP/SWI operations
  • Experience in SOX, inventory audits, driving process improvements, and implementing corrective actions
  • Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, and dashboard reporting is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of inventory management software, SAP/WMS systems
  • Ability to use critical thinking to develop, evaluate, recommend and present best options
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to driving results
  • Risk sensitive, recognizes when problems arise or are likely to arise 
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate 
  • Proficiency in using Google Suite tools, including Google Sheets, for data analysis and information sharing
  • Travel 10%
  • Reports onsite to customer location(s) as needed
  • Must be willing to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends
