IFRS Desk Manager  – İstanbul & Ankara

We are seeking for a IFRS Desk Manager to join our Assurance – Audit and Accounting Services team in Istanbul or Ankara with the following qualifications;

 

What We Look For

 

• Strong academic background, including Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in audit, technical accounting, or advisory services
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Turkish local GAAP (TFRS/BOBI FRS).In-depth understanding of financial reporting regulations
• Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
• English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Professional accountancy qualification (SMMM, CPA, SPK) will be asset

 

Your key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical IFRS support and guidance to engagement teams and clients
• Review and assess financial statements for compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
• Interpret new and complex IFRS standards and assess their implications for clients
• Contribute to the development of EY publications, training sessions, and tools related to IFRS
• Collaborate with global IFRS desks and industry specialists on technical consultations
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and assist in assessing their impact on EY clients
• Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff
