Role: Capital Markets  Manager

Sub Service Line: Professional Practice Group

 

1. Minimum Requirements for the Role:

•            Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of Capital Markets experience.

•            Skills Required:

o            Independent self-starter.

o            Attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture.

o            Experience in both debt and equity transactions.

o            Debt Transaction Experience:

            Commercial Paper issuances within the South African market.

            Issuances by Securitization vehicles.

            Listing of debt on international exchanges, including Euro Medium Term Programmes.

o            Equity Transaction Experience:

            Listings on the JSE Limited.

            Category 1 acquisitions and/or disposals on the JSE Limited.

            Periodic reporting experience related to pro forma financial information as per the JSE Listings Requirements.

            Knowledge of the other three South African stock exchanges and their Listings Requirements.

o            Comfort letter experience for debt and/or equity transactions.

 

  Qualifications Required:

o            An honours degree in accounting.

o            CA(SA) qualification is beneficial but not mandatory, with 3–5 years post-articles experience in auditing,

•            Previous Industry Exposure: 2 years within the debt and/or equity markets.

•            Previous Consulting Experience: Not required.

2. Core Purpose and Responsibilities:

•            Core Purpose: To support the Assurance business with JSE related matters and provide support within Africa.

•            Important Responsibilities: Prioritization and management of work while maintaining quality across multiple engagements.

•            Challenges and Problems to Solve: Balancing workload and quality control in a dynamic environment.

•            Learning Opportunities: Development of new skills related to the JSE Listings Requirements, local and international debt listings, and comfort letter experience.

3. Preferred Previous Employment:

•            Candidates should have experience working in an auditing firm.

4. Business Dynamics:

•            The capital markets environment is dynamic, with continuous involvement in new and exciting projects.
