The opportunity
We are looking for Senior Consultants to join our Real Estate - Advisory & Valuations team in our Lisbon office. EY has an established leading real estate practice: we address complex issues in real estate segments and we advise our clients on analytical, valuation, operational, technical, data intelligence and other advisory services. Your key responsibilities

  • Advice our clients in their business and strategic decisions related to Real Estate; 
  • Be part of strategic and operational decisions, working with the management in acquisition processes and undertake valuations for strategic analysis, with a focus on commercial real estate; 
  • Investment analysis and feasibility studies; 
  • Conduct market research and sensitivity analysis; 
  • Valuation of properties, including for accounting, transaction or insurance purposes;
  • Transaction diligence (buy-side and sell-side), including lender diligence, urban and technical due diligence and transactions support;
  • Team with our M&A team, which includes assets and share deals transactions and fund raising; 
  • Support the development of junior staff including by playing a strong role in mentoring and providing pragmatic feedback, both constructive and supportive;
  • Collaborate with people across Strategy and Transactions Service Line, as well as the broader EY team to support service delivery outcomes and cross-teaming.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent interpersonal and business skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in internal and external forums;
  • Ability to work in multiple projects and effectively prioritize competing demands;
  • A proactive, supportive and respectful approach to their team, and able to function under pressure but also demonstrate judgment in asking for help when required;
  • Advanced report writing, analysis and problem solving;
  • Fluency in business English and Portuguese is mandatory both verbal and written;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Academic education in Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, Economics or similar fields of study; 
  • At least 3 to 6 years of professional experience related with subjects such as: commercial real estate, acquisition due diligence, real estate valuation, feasibility studies or market research; 
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel tools;
  • Demonstrate track record in solving complex problems and challenging projects;  
  • Strong interest in Real Estate sector; 
  • Background in real estate consulting is valued;
  • Previous real estate experience in the sector leading companies or a Big4 firm is preferrable; 
  • RICS member and registration in CMVM are valued;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
