As an F&B Supervisor at Choice Hotels in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will oversee the operation of assigned restaurants and lounges, implementing strategies that align with the needs of owners, employees, and guests. Coordinate setups and closures in line with Carlson Hotel standards, confirm daily specials with the Restaurant Chef, and oversee food and beverage service. Coach staff on effective techniques, inspect facilities daily to exceed standards, conduct pre-shift meetings, execute check controls, and maintain sanitary, safe environments.
Orient new hires, provide on-the-job training, prioritize and assign work, and deliver performance feedback to employees and managers. Use training strategies to motivate teams, sustain high performance, and ensure job responsibilities are met effectively.
Deliver personal attention, resolve issues with empathy, and use best judgment for 100% Guest Satisfaction guarantees. Demonstrate genuine hospitality, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving to create memorable experiences.
To succeed as F&B Supervisor, candidates need at least two years of restaurant experience, preferably in hospitality, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain a Bartender’s License (must be 18+). Key skills include strong communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, multitasking under pressure, basic Microsoft Office knowledge, and familiarity with local liquor laws.
Physical demands involve standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, pushing/pulling up to 75-200 pounds occasionally, and setting up banquet fixtures. Excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver training in group or one-on-one settings are essential.
