Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead with Authority: Showcase Datadog's platform, emphasizing advanced observability and security solutions, industry best practices, and superior visibility for at-scale environments.
• Trusted Advisory: Guide Sales leaders and executives on ROI, value realization, white-space analysis, and adoption strategies within your industry vertical.
• GTM Innovation: Spot Japan-specific trends during customer engagements and collaborate with Product SAs to co-create tailored solutions, fueling top-of-funnel growth.
• C-Level Engagement: Strategically advise CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, and CISOs on rationalizing observability investments and operationalization.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with PSA, Sales, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to deliver high-quality technical resources to practitioners and economic buyers.
• Architecture Leadership: Conduct design engagements proving how Datadog meets strategic customer needs.
• Executive Presentations: Participate in Datadog’s Executive Briefing Center (EBC) discussions on architecture, observability best practices, and trends.
• Strategic Oversight: Oversee GTM technical strategy for Japan, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
• Thought Leadership: Influence product roadmap through customer insights and industry expertise.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 15+ years in Enterprise or Application architecture at scale, mapping to real-world use cases in Japan.
• Deep knowledge of observability, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and tech shifts.
• Strategic thinker tackling technical and business challenges creatively.
• Proven stakeholder influence at VP+ and C-level in large enterprises.
• Hands-on technologist building credibility across organizations.
• Exceptional presentation skills for large audiences, from technical deep-dives to executive briefs.
• Superior communication linking product features to business ROI.
• Fluent Japanese and strong English (spoken/written).
• Bachelor’s in engineering (Master’s preferred); 50% travel willingness.
