for the position of Field Service Engineer and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible customer experience and professional communication with our customers. 

As a Field Service Engineer working with Varian Accelerators for Siemens Healthineersyou’ll play a vital role in supporting cutting-edge cancer treatment technology across Scandinavia, working towards the goal.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team of 17 skilled colleagues who are always ready to support you—even when you’re working remotely. Your mentor and manager will ensure you have the guidance and resources to succeed. This is a home-based role with travel across Scandinavia, primarily serving Norwegian customers on-site, with occasional assignments in Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland

What You’ll Do 

  • Deliver expert service, support, and maintenance on advanced linear accelerators: TrueBeam, Halcyon, and Ethos. 
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems. 
  • Conduct failure analysis using service instructions, bulletins, manuals, and precision measuring tools. 
  • Carry out final QA checks and calibrations in collaboration with hospital technicians and physicists. 
  • Provide top-tier support both on-site and remotely. 
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional, positive interactions. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all activities (Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, etc.). 

ShapeWho You Are 

  • Background in Electronics, Mechanics or Engineering. 
  • Experience in healthcare, MedTech or with X-Ray, CT, or MRI systems is a plus. 
  • Skilled in complex circuit handling and IT/network troubleshooting. 
  • Methodical, analytical, and able to follow detailed technical procedures. 
  • Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language. 
  • Resides in Norway. 
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Independent, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal supervision. 
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel (approx. 6 overnight stays per month, sometimes on short notice).
