The Field Service Technician (Level 2) position at PepsiCo in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a hands-on, skilled role perfect for mechanically inclined professionals. This full-time position pays $25.90 per hour and involves installing, repairing, and maintaining vending machines, cooling systems, fountain dispensers, ice makers, and frozen beverage equipment at customer locations. Working independently with frequent customer interaction, you'll drive a company vehicle on a Wednesday-to-Saturday schedule from 9:00 AM to 7:15 PM. This role demands physical stamina, including lifting 20-45 pounds repeatedly and maneuvering equipment up to 1,200 pounds, while adhering to strict safety and DOT regulations.
As a Field Service Technician, your primary accountabilities include:
Each day starts with loading your truck, driving to customer sites, evaluating situations, and executing repairs. You'll unload/reload products, replace parts, and ensure equipment operates at peak performance, fostering positive relationships with store managers and contacts.
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet these basic qualifications:
Helpful experience includes working with mechanical systems, basic refrigeration (Freon, compressors), electrical wiring, plumbing (drains, valves), and equipment installation like HVAC or fountain products. Strong customer service skills for resolving issues and communicating effectively are essential.
