Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As a Field Service Technician, you'll deliver top-tier support for Rivian's cutting-edge EVs. Core duties include:

• Performing or assisting with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or directly at customer locations.
• Identifying and explaining Rivian product lines, EV frameworks, tools, and accessories to customers.

• Conducting thorough road tests to validate repair effectiveness.
• Managing parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Identifying improvement areas and providing actionable feedback to senior techs and leadership.

• Documenting all work and technical notes meticulously for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Rivian Field Service Technicians must meet rigorous standards to handle EV complexities safely. Key qualifications include:

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred; hands-on automotive shop experience highly valued. Recent automotive graduates encouraged to apply. EV/hybrid repair background a plus.
• Licensing & Mobility: Valid driver's license with clean record (no suspensions/revocations in 3-5 years). Ability to drive non-commercial truck/trailer preferred. Must be 21+ years old.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with hand/power tools. Foundational electricity theory, DVOM usage, electrical schematics. Advanced: CAN/LIN networks, high voltage diagnostics, wiring repairs.
• Physical & Availability: Lift 50 lbs., perform tasks like bending/kneeling. Available for 40-hour weeks including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Soft Skills: Strong organization, attention to detail, eagerness to learn. Fluent English; proficient with Windows/Mac computers.
