Position Summary

Join our Hickory, NC facility as a Finishing Operator II on the 3rd shift (7pm-5am), earning a competitive $22.69/hr. Reporting to the Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in our 24/7 manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in packaging production. This mid-level role offers opportunities for advancement in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely while meeting all safety protocols and wearing required protective gear
  • Maintain equipment, work areas, and housekeeping standards to uphold operational excellence
  • Deliver products that meet or exceed departmental quality standards
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete daily tasks and production goals
  • Actively participate in team meetings, safety training, contests, and adhere to all Sonoco policies

Required Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or formal training preferred
  • Strong ability to read, comprehend standard work instructions, perform basic math, and use measuring tools
  • Proven track record of on-time attendance and reliability
  • High school diploma or GED, with ambition to advance in manufacturing
  • Adaptability to rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation
