The Global Head of Regulated Entities Compliance at FIS is a critical executive leadership role responsible for overseeing the regulatory compliance of all FIS regulated entities and contractually obligated business units worldwide. This role serves as the second line of defense, ensuring the development and maintenance of best-in-class regulatory compliance programs across the organization's global footprint. Reporting directly to the FIS Chief Compliance Officer, this position provides expert leadership, compliance advice, and guidance to Compliance Officers (COs) and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs), while working closely with the Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
As the Global Head of Regulated Entities Compliance, your day-to-day activities will be diverse and challenging, encompassing strategic oversight, team management, and regulatory engagement. You'll start by reviewing key compliance metrics and reports to identify potential risks and areas for improvement. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to managing and mentoring COs/MLROs, providing guidance on complex regulatory issues and ensuring alignment with FIS's overall compliance strategy. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk, and business units, to address compliance-related matters and support new initiatives. Regular communication with regulators, participation in industry forums, and staying abreast of regulatory changes are essential aspects of this role. In addition, you'll be involved in M&A due diligence, integrating newly acquired regulated entities into FIS's compliance framework.
