Required Qualifications

• 7-15 years of overall experience in software development. (experience)
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages. (experience)
• Strong understanding of Unix operating systems. (experience)
• Experience with Oracle and Postgres SQL databases. (experience)
• Familiarity with Switch applications (IST/Switch or similar). (experience)
• Knowledge of the Payments Domain and VISA/Mastercard processing. (experience)
• Experience with ISO 8583 – 93 standards. (experience)
• Proficiency with build tools like Bit Bucket, SVN, GIT, and Maven. (experience)
• Experience with Payment Switch applications. (experience)
• Hands-on experience with direct customer service. (experience)
• Experience with VISA and Mastercard certification processes. (experience)
• Knowledge of ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and other payments formats. (experience)
• Awareness and understanding of PCI/PADSS standards. (experience)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. (experience)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. (experience)
• Experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. (experience)
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC). (experience)

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software within budget and on time.
• Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements.
• Analyze business requirements to design quality technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
• Ensure compliance with FIS architectural standards in all development activities.
• Develop program logic for new applications.
• Analyze and modify logic in existing applications to meet changing business needs.
• Code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain software applications.
• Maintain, test, and integrate application components to ensure seamless functionality.
• Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs.
• Provide support for applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical problems in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and release notes.
• Provide training and support to other team members as needed.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
