In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications software delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design quality technical solutions that align with our business goals.

Day in the Life

As a Mainframe IBM-I Series Admin, your day-to-day activities will include:

• Working in IBM I System administration, including user management, work management, job scheduler management, backup management, device management, proactive system monitoring, patch management, and security management.
• Performing OS/400 installations/upgrades, OS/400 PTF management, TCP/IP and other protocol implementation (SSH, sFTP, FTPs, DDM), HMC operations, VIOS, and LPAR management.
• Working with SQL, QUERY/400, and Control Language.
• Utilizing backup utilities/tools like BRMS, EMC Data Domain & VTL.
• Working with DB2 replication for IBM i and HA Solutions like QEDD, MIMIX & ITERA.
