Role Overview

Are you a skilled Mainframe IBM-I Series Administrator looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications software delivered on time and within budget. Day in the Life

As a Mainframe IBM-I Series Admin, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Working in IBM I System administration, including user management, work management, job scheduler management, backup management, device management, proactive system monitoring, patch management, and security management.
  • Performing OS/400 installations/upgrades, OS/400 PTF management, TCP/IP and other protocol implementation (SSH, sFTP, FTPs, DDM), HMC operations, VIOS, and LPAR management.
  • Working with SQL, QUERY/400, and Control Language.
  • Utilizing backup utilities/tools like BRMS, EMC Data Domain & VTL.
  • Working with DB2 replication for IBM i and HA Solutions like QEDD, MIMIX & ITERA.
