Role Overview

FIS is seeking a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Horizon team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with both mainframe and server-based environments, contributing to the transition of legacy Release Management practices into a state-of-the-art automated pipeline. You will gain hands-on experience with Mainframe (Cobol, RPG) and server-based (Java, .NET) technologies, playing a vital role in our journey toward application containerization and automated delivery. A Day in the Life

As a Site Reliability Engineer, your day will involve a mix of pipeline support, tool integration, workflow standardization, automation execution, and monitoring. You'll assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both IBM iSeries/Mainframe and modern server-based initiatives. You'll integrate mainframe workflows with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. Standardizing workflows and consolidating source control tools will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Executing and troubleshooting automated build and release scripts, as well as monitoring pipeline performance and reliability, will ensure smooth operations.
