What does a successful Cloud Engineer at Fiserv do?

The primary objective of the role is to lead the definition and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on AWS and Azure, driving migrations and modernization, automating operations, and optimizing performance and stability to enable the business's technology strategy.

What you will do:

• Build of scalable, secure, and performant solutions in the cloud platform AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, and customer stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Conduct IaC code reviews and provide technical leadership.
• Support cloud migration projects, including re-platforming and re-architecting legacy workloads to AWS and Azure.
• Optimize cloud resource usage, focusing on performance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Stay updated on aws and azure cloud technologies, AI, and Cloud Engineering, contributing to internal knowledge sharing.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, cost, and security.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure as Code;
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts on AWS and Azure;
• Proven and strong experience of cloud native services such as AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Redis Cache, SNS, SQS, Step Function, S3 and RDS.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager or AWS CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge in 1+ scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python);
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as (Gitlab, Harness, Ansible or equivalent);
• Understanding of computing and networking foundation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

What would be ideal to have (desirable):

• Experience with containerization technologies like AWS EKS, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure AKS.
• Familiarity and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code;
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace;
• AWS and Azure certification - intermediate level. Professional level are a plus.
