Job Title

Technical Professional Services - Sr Professional II

What does a successful Technical Services Professional do at Fiserv?

Work directly with Fiserv clients to transfer or de-convert their existing card portfolios. The team, comprised of project managers, data analysts, and programmers perform an initial review of a client’s requirements, write the programs and processes, and assist with the testing/loading process. These positions offer a variety of opportunities to handle both business and technical roles, learn and use multiple Fiserv applications/products, and develop relationships with many large financial institutions across the globe. We have a great team and are willing to provide on-the-job training, as needed!

What you would do:

  • Cobol programming and running of implementation job streams.
  • Test and validate of output, reports, and financial balancing.
  • Technical data mapping analysis.
  • Deliver and execute project milestones for the full project life cycle from initiation through project closure.
  • Design and document complex technical requirements for business applications.
  • Partner with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.
  • Creation of mapping specifications and/or programs (depending on analyst vs. programmer role).
  • Ensure quality of conversion suite including holding quality inspections.
  • Debug complex code and processes.
  • Build partnerships with clients, product owners, application development teams, and program management colleagues.


What you would need to have:
• Strong knowledge in COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.

• Previous IT or Business Analysis experience

• Experience in stakeholder management
• Experience in converting to new processing platforms, preferred
• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts on a variety of solutions
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to manage rapid change in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage deliverables and provide support to multiple projects

What would be great to have:
• 4 Year College Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics
• Experience with and knowledge of Fiserv production programs and processes
• Conversion experience

• Experience in a client-facing role

• Understanding of the Issuing Industry and associated products
