Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure fleet reliability and driver safety through hands-on expertise. Daily tasks include performing preventative maintenance and repairs with high independence, diagnosing failures on diverse equipment, and disassembling/reassembling parts as needed. You'll maintain detailed documentation like vehicle records and pre-trip checklists, respond to service calls, and utilize advanced programs such as TAAS for efficiency. Expect variety: from hydraulic/air brake systems to propane forklift repairs, all while supporting PepsiCo's massive logistics network.

Daily Operations

Technicians handle PMs using voice applications, conduct diagnostics with Noregon and Autometer, and execute work orders via INFOR and Geotab. Road testing (non-CDL) and shop maneuvers keep vehicles operational.

Qualifications & Requirements

PepsiCo seeks candidates with proven mechanical aptitude. Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, possessing your own basic hand tools (company provides diagnostics and ergonomics), and physical capability for lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and object manipulation. Essential knowledge covers gas/diesel repairs, hydraulic/air brakes, and internal combustion engines. Helpful experience includes forklift repairs, computer diagnostics (iPad, laptops, Noregon), manufacturing standards (Mitchell 1, OEM tools), and work on heavy/light-duty trucks or EVs.
