Role Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Technician (NO CDL) position at PepsiCo's Tampa, Florida location offers a rewarding opportunity for skilled mechanics passionate about keeping fleets operational. Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, your daily impact will be significant. You'll perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs with a high degree of independence, utilizing advanced tools like voice-guided PM applications, Noregon diagnostics, Mitchell 1, Uptake predictive analytics, and TAAS. Diagnose failures on diverse equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and more. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed, while maintaining accurate documentation such as vehicle records and pre-trip checklists. Respond to service calls promptly, ensuring fleet reliability and driver safety. This role supports PepsiCo's vast operations, handling everything from forklifts to heavy-duty trucks without needing a CDL for road testing.

Daily Tasks Include

• Independent PMs and complex repairs
• Advanced diagnostics on fleet vehicles
• Documentation and record-keeping

Qualifications & Requirements

PepsiCo seeks candidates with proven mechanical expertise. Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, possessing your own basic hand tools (diagnostics provided), and the physical capability for lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects. Essential knowledge covers gas and diesel repairs, hydraulic and air brake systems, internal combustion engines, and preventative maintenance. Helpful experience includes forklift repairs (propane, electrical, battery, hydraulics), computer proficiency (iPad, desktops, Noregon, Geotab, INFOR), manufacturing standards (Mitchell 1, OEM tools), and work on heavy/light-duty trucks, though no CDL is needed. You must pass a Forklift Driving Skills test if applicable. PepsiCo provides extensive training to build on your skills.
