Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to the highest standards. Key duties include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks, industrial equipment, and other vehicles as assigned.
  • Leveraging predictive diagnostic software to identify issues early and eliminate breakdowns.
  • Diagnosing vehicle failures and executing mechanical repairs and replacements efficiently.
  • Responding to local road calls or coordinating service support to minimize downtime.
  • Completing all tasks in a safe, productive manner while adhering to PepsiCo's outstanding safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a PepsiCo Fleet Mechanic, candidates must meet these essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Certified HET / 310T Journeyperson.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience with preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to provide your own tool set.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical demands include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100lbs, frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and grasping in a multi-temperature environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime is required.

Additional Assets

Experience with propane/electric forklifts, hydraulic liftgates, agriculture equipment, reefers, vans, pickups, cars, welding, electrical systems, or Class 1/AZ license is highly valued but not mandatory.
