Role Overview

The Fleet Technician 1 (Senior) (Evenings) position in Marysville, Washington, offers experienced mechanics the chance to work on world-class equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Technician 1 (Senior), your daily impact includes:

  • Executing preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs with high independence using advanced tech like TAAS and voice applications.
  • Performing diagnostics and repairs on diverse equipment: Volvo, International, Freightliner trucks, Maxon lifts, EVs, and material handling gear.
  • Handling complex repairs on engines (internal/external), drivelines, after-treatment/emissions systems, and safety features.
  • Diagnosing failures, disassembling/reassembling parts, test-driving vehicles, and responding to service calls.
  • Maintaining accurate records, pre-trip checklists, and supporting PepsiCo's safety culture through strict adherence to standards.
  • Mentoring peers on new processes and building capabilities for alternative fuel vehicles.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates must meet these essentials:

  • CDL Class B License and ability to pass DOT physical/road test if applicable.
  • ASE, MACS, or Military AC certification; Brakes Certification required.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic/air brakes, after-treatment/emissions, driveline, and engine repairs on Class 6-8 diesels.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, etc.) and shop equipment like welders and engine hoists.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, and handle tools; must be 18+ (21+ if CDL required).
  • Strong English communication, computer skills (iPad diagnostics), and forklift operation certification.

Helpful: Wheel/tire work, parts inventory, PM programs, forklift repairs (propane/electric/hydraulics), and independent work experience.
