Role Overview

The Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced) position in Auburn, Washington, is ideal for seasoned mechanics passionate about heavy-duty fleet maintenance. Earning a target of $44.30 per hour, you'll work independently on PepsiCo's diverse fleet, including light/heavy trucks, vans, automobiles, forklifts, and emerging electric vehicles. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll perform with precision and independence:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs using voice-guided apps, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics.
  • Execute advanced diagnostics across OEM platforms like Volvo, International, Freightliner, and Maxon.
  • Handle high-level repairs on engines, drivelines, after-treatment/emissions systems, and safety features.
  • Adapt to alternative fuels including electric vehicles (EV), CNG, and B100 biodiesel.
  • Diagnose failures, disassemble/repair/reassemble parts, and maintain detailed records like vehicle logs and pre-trip checklists.
  • Respond to service calls, support forklift repairs, and adhere to all safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek experienced technicians ready to excel:

  • Brakes Certification with hydraulic/air brake experience.
  • Proven Class 6-8 diesel repairs in drivelines, engines, and emissions.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, etc.).
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, and handle tools (accommodations considered).
  • Own basic hand tools; company provides diagnostics, ergonomics, and high-tech gear.
  • 18+ years old; pass Forklift Driving Skills test if needed.

Helpful: PM programs, parts inventory, computer use (iPad diagnostics), heavy equipment repairs, and OEM manuals.
