Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Technician 2, your day-to-day involves high-level technical work with independence and cutting-edge technology. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs using voice applications, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, and TAAS.
• Conducting advanced diagnostics on OE platforms like Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, and material handling equipment.
• Executing complex repairs on engines, drivelines, aftertreatment, emissions, and safety systems for class 6-8 diesel vehicles.
• Adapting to alternative fuel technologies such as electric vehicles (EV), compressed natural gas (CNG), and B100 biodiesel.
• Diagnosing failures, disassembling/repairing/reassembling parts, and maintaining accurate vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
• Responding to service calls, supporting drivers, and upholding PepsiCo's safety-first culture.

This role demands physical agility, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, and handling tools, while working in clean, safe facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Brakes Certification with hands-on experience in hydraulic and air brake systems.
• Proven experience in aftertreatment/emissions repairs, driveline repairs, and engine work on class 6-8 diesel vehicles.
• Proficiency with diagnostic platforms (e.g., Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, Altel).
• Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test if applicable, and lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation).
• Ownership of basic hand tools; company provides diagnostics, ergonomics, and high-tech equipment.

Helpful experience includes wheel/tire work, parts inventory, working independently, shop tools (hoists, welding), PM programs, computer use (iPad diagnostics), forklift repairs, OEM manuals, and heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
