Role Overview

The Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced) position at PepsiCo in Burlington, Vermont, is a pivotal role supporting one of North America's largest fleets. Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Technician 2, you'll handle high-impact tasks daily:

  • Work independently on preventive maintenance (PMs) and complex repairs using cutting-edge tools like voice-guided PM apps, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across OEM platforms including Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, and material handling equipment.
  • Execute high-level repairs on engines, drivelines, aftertreatment/emissions systems, brakes, and safety features.
  • Adapt to alternative fuels like electric vehicles, CNG, and B100, building new capabilities as PepsiCo innovates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, vehicle records, pre-trip checklists, and respond to service calls promptly.
  • Support PepsiCo's safety culture by strictly adhering to all standards and procedures.

Daily Workflow

Expect task variety: diagnosing failures, disassembling/reassembling parts, wheel/tire services, forklift repairs, and more. You'll leverage shop tools like engine hoists, welders, and diagnostics while managing parts inventory.

Qualifications & Requirements

PepsiCo seeks experienced professionals ready to excel:

  • Brakes Certification with hands-on experience in hydraulic and air brake systems.
  • Proven experience in aftertreatment/emissions repairs and driveline work on class 6-8 diesel vehicles.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic platforms (Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, etc.).
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, and handle tools (accommodations considered).
  • At least 18 years old; pass Forklift Driving Skills test if applicable.
