Role Overview

The Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced) position in Claymont, Delaware, offers experienced mechanics the chance to work on world-class equipment with cutting-edge technology. Earning a target pay of $39.90 per hour, this role involves maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet including light and heavy trucks, vans, automobiles, forklifts, and emerging alternative fuel vehicles like electric, CNG, and B100. You'll enjoy independence in a fast-paced environment, supported by coaching, clean facilities, and a safety-first culture. This full-time position provides task variety, from preventive maintenance (PMs) to advanced diagnostics and repairs, using tools like voice-guided PM apps, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Technician 2, your daily impact includes:

• Performing preventive maintenance and repairs with high independence on PepsiCo's extensive fleet.
• Utilizing advanced technologies such as Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and OEM platforms for Volvo, International, Freightliner, and more.
• Conducting advanced diagnostics and high-level repairs on engines, drivelines, after-treatment/emissions systems, and safety features.
• Adapting to alternative fuel applications, including electric vehicles, CNG, and biodiesel.
• Diagnosing failures, disassembling/repairing/reassembling parts, maintaining documentation like vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
• Answering service calls, supporting drivers' safety, and adhering to all safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates must meet these minimums:

• Brakes Certification and experience with hydraulic/air brake systems.
• Experience in after-treatment/emissions repairs and driveline repairs on class 6-8 diesel vehicles.
• Proficiency with diagnostic platforms like Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, or similar.
• Own basic hand tools (diagnostics and high-tech equipment provided).
• Physical ability: lift 50 lbs, bending, reaching, climbing (accommodations considered).
• 18+ years old, pass forklift driving test if applicable.

Helpful experience includes wheel/tire work, parts inventory, shop tools (welding, engine hoists), PM programs, computer use (iPad diagnostics), forklift repairs, heavy-duty equipment, gas/diesel engines, and OEM manuals.
