Role Overview

The Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced) position in Claymont, Delaware, is a pivotal role within PBNA's operations. Fleet Technicians ensure the reliability of automobiles, light/heavy trucks, vans, forklifts, and emerging electric vehicles. Key Responsibilities

As an experienced Fleet Technician 2, your daily tasks drive operational excellence:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs independently using advanced tools and voice applications.
• Conduct high-level diagnostics across OEM platforms including Volvo, International, Freightliner, and electric vehicles.
• Execute complex repairs on engines, drivelines, aftertreatment, emissions, and safety systems for class 6-8 diesel trucks.
• Adapt to alternative fuels such as electric vehicles (EV), compressed natural gas (CNG), and B100 biodiesel.
• Maintain accurate documentation, vehicle records, and pre-trip checklists while answering service calls.
• Support PepsiCo's safety-first culture by adhering to all standards and procedures.

Daily Workflow

Expect task variety in clean, ergonomic facilities with shop tools like engine hoists and welders. Work on material handling equipment, liftgates, and Thermo King units, ensuring minimal downtime for drivers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with physical capability to lift 50 pounds, bend, climb, and handle tools (accommodations considered).
• Brakes Certification and hands-on experience with hydraulic/air brake systems.

• Proficiency with diagnostic platforms like Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, or Alldata.
• Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test if applicable; must provide own basic hand tools (diagnostics and high-tech equipment supplied).

Helpful Experience

Stand out with wheel/torque work, parts inventory, unsupervised repairs, PM programs, computer diagnostics (iPad/laptop), forklift repairs (propane/electrical/hydraulic), OEM manuals, and heavy-duty equipment maintenance including engines, tires, and refer units.
