The Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced) position in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, offers a dynamic opportunity for skilled mechanics to work on PepsiCo's diverse fleet, including light/heavy trucks, vans, automobiles, forklifts, and emerging electric vehicles. Earning a target of $38.00 per hour, this full-time role emphasizes independence, advanced diagnostics, and high-level repairs in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. As a Fleet Technician 2, you'll operate with a high degree of autonomy while leveraging cutting-edge technology. Daily tasks include performing preventive maintenance (PMs) using voice applications, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics. Conduct advanced repairs on engines, drivelines, aftertreatment/emissions systems, and safety features across platforms like Volvo, International, Freightliner, and Maxon. Adapt to alternative fuels such as electric vehicles (EV), compressed natural gas (CNG), and B100 biodiesel. Diagnose failures, disassemble/repair/reassemble parts, maintain detailed records including vehicle logs and pre-trip checklists, answer service calls, and uphold PepsiCo's rigorous safety standards. Support one of North America's largest fleets with task variety and team collaboration.
Expect hands-on work with heavy-duty equipment, from wheel torqueing to forklift hydraulic repairs, all in clean, ergonomic facilities equipped with engine hoists, welding tools, and more.
PepsiCo seeks experienced professionals ready to excel. Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, possessing your own basic hand tools (diagnostics provided), and the physical ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, climb, and handle objects. Passing a forklift driving skills test is required if applicable. Essential qualifications: Brakes Certification with hydraulic/air brake experience; proven skills in class 6-8 diesel aftertreatment/emissions and driveline repairs; proficiency with diagnostic platforms like Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, or Altec.
Stand out with background in wheel removal/torqueing, parts inventory, independent work, shop tools, PM programs, computer diagnostics (iPad/laptop), forklift repairs (propane/electrical/hydraulics), OEM manuals, heavy-duty trucks (class 6-8), and gas/diesel engine work. Training is provided to build on your expertise.
