The Fleet Technician 3 (Entry Level) - Phase 1 & 2 position in Rome, Georgia, offers an exciting entry into PepsiCo's maintenance team. Earning a target pay of $28.20 per hour, this role involves maintaining one of North America's largest fleets, including light and heavy trucks, vans, automobiles, and forklifts. You'll work in a fast-paced, clean facility with world-class equipment, ergonomics, and technology like voice-guided PM apps, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics. This entry-level opportunity provides extensive training, allowing independent work with coaching support, perfect for those starting or advancing in fleet maintenance careers at PepsiCo.
As a Fleet Technician 3, your daily tasks drive the reliability and safety of PBNA's fleet. Primary duties include performing preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs with high independence, diagnosing failures using cutting-edge tools, and disassembling/reassembling parts as needed. You'll leverage skills on diverse equipment, maintain precise documentation in vehicle software systems, including work orders, part reconciliation, and pre-trip checklists. Supporting PepsiCo's safety-first culture is essential, ensuring all standards are met while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Expect task variety: from oil changes and defect repairs to hydraulic/air brake work and tire changes. Use provided high-tech diagnostics and ergonomic tools, while bringing your own basic hand tools.
