The Fountain Installer (PES) position at PepsiCo in Maumelle, Arkansas, offers a hands-on opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who thrive in field-based work. This full-time role, paying $24.75 per hour (approximately $51,480 annually), involves delivering, installing, and maintaining fountain beverage systems at customer accounts. In this position, you'll be the frontline expert ensuring PepsiCo's equipment performs flawlessly. Primary accountabilities include unloading and loading new and used vending or fountain equipment for daily deliveries, installing vendors, and reloading them with products. You'll repair and conduct preventative maintenance on vending and fountain systems, educate customers on basic repair and upkeep procedures, and collect accurate equipment information. Additional duties involve maintaining parts, tools, and equipment; following DOT regulations; completing required paperwork; transporting miscellaneous items like compressors or recyclables; filling installs and adjusting product mixes; and building positive customer relationships. Regular, reliable attendance is essential for success.
Expect to use lifting equipment to move heavy machines several times daily, prepare equipment for delivery, and organize inventory at the facility. Your role supports PepsiCo's supply chain by minimizing downtime at customer sites.
To qualify for the Fountain Installer role, candidates must be at least 18 years old (21 or older if a CDL is required) and hold a valid U.S. CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status where applicable. You'll need to pass a DOT physical and Road Test if driving is involved, follow all DOT regulations, and communicate effectively in English. Helpful experience includes working with mechanical systems like troubleshooting appliances, plumbing, electrical components, and operating hand/power tools; generating work schedules; operating CDL Class B trucks; serving customers; and completing paperwork.
This job requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving 800-1200 pound equipment repeatedly. Field work involves visiting customer locations, interfacing with employees, vendors, and the public. Post-offer, a background check, drug screening, education, employment, and driving history verification are required.
