The Frito Lay Saskatoon 2026 Summer Student Route Sales Representative position is your gateway to an exhilarating career in sales and distribution at PepsiCo. This full-time summer role, running from May to September, offers students a dynamic opportunity to immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of snack food sales. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, you'll develop and sustain a growing business by selling and delivering Frito-Lay products to retail customers including grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores. Expect 40+ hours per week with varying shifts, including early mornings starting as early as 5 am and weekends. Compensation ranges from $17K to $20K for the season, with potential to grow earnings through performance. This role is perfect for motivated students seeking real-world experience that can lead to PepsiCo's Co-op or New Grad programs.
As a Summer Student Route Sales Representative, your days will be action-packed with hands-on tasks that drive sales and customer satisfaction. Primary responsibilities include merchandising store shelving with Frito-Lay products, handling cardboard carton returns, rotating inventory to keep products fresh, and cleaning shelving and racks. You'll operate a route sales truck or your personal vehicle to load, unload, and deliver products along an established route. Selling and ordering are core: execute national and local promotions, set up eye-catching displays and racks, order sufficient inventory to meet customer demands, and maintain frequent communication with store managers to hit targets. This role demands physical stamina, as you'll be on your feet all day lifting approximately 50 pounds.
Each shift involves independent route management, problem-solving multiple priorities, and staying motivated with minimal supervision. You'll build relationships with retail partners, ensuring Frito-Lay products are front and center to capture consumer attention.
To thrive in this role, candidates must have full-time availability from May to September 2026. A valid full G or Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is essential, along with daily access to your own vehicle. Preference is given to those enrolled in a college or university program. You must be physically active and strong, capable of lifting about 50 pounds and remaining on your feet throughout the day. Outstanding organizational skills are key, as you'll juggle multiple priorities, problem-solve on the fly, and meet sales targets. Strong independent work ethic, motivation with minimal supervision, and flexibility for early mornings and weekends are non-negotiable.
PepsiCo offers more than just a paycheck. Gain invaluable exposure to our Co-op and New Grad programs, paving the way for future career opportunities. Work in a dynamic, inclusive culture that encourages you to bring your whole self to work. Compete for the Top Summer RSR Award, which comes with a $1500 bonus. Boost your earnings through performance incentives. Enjoy the pride of contributing to a global team that serves billions, all while building skills in sales, logistics, and customer service in Canada's vibrant food sector.
