Role Overview

We're seeking a talented Front End Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, California, and contribute to Kestrel, the next generation of CrowdStrike's platform. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days per week on-site and offers an exciting opportunity to create engaging, data-driven experiences. Help customers 'Stop the Breach' by unifying data across security domains, streamlining access to critical security information, and enabling personalized experiences by role. Work closely with product design and UI engineering teams to build intuitive interfaces that visualize patterns and navigate threats effectively. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll take full ownership of product delivery, driving technical aspects, defining architecture, and coordinating with stakeholders on scope and priorities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing the technical strategy for front-end engineering architecture, prioritizing flexibility, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining single-page application frameworks.
  • Participating in code reviews for your code and that of fellow UI engineers.
  • Leveraging expertise to guide decisions on engineering, product design, and direction.
  • Taking initiative to build tools that enhance the team's development experience.
  • Ensuring code quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including UX designers, QA engineers, Product Managers, Data/API engineers, and more.
  • Continually learning about cybersecurity challenges and front-end engineering advancements.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Expert knowledge of latest web standards and front-end tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful API, GraphQL, TypeScript, Ember CLI, Node/NPM, Webpack, Responsive UI).
  • Experience building user-centric, scalable UI design systems using atomic design principles.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Technologies and end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products.
  • Experience with Accessibility (a11y) best practices, including keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n).
  • Proficiency with front-end frameworks like Ember, React, Angular, Vue, or Lit.
  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind.
  • Experience with front-end data-mocking services, data fetching, and state management libraries.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD best practices for optimizing builds.
  • B.S. Degree in a related field.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Advocacy for UX consistency, accessibility, and user empathy.

Bonus points for experience with data grid libraries like AG Grid, Web components, AWS, cybersecurity, or open-source contributions.
