Role Overview

The Front Line Manager at PepsiCo's Sundar Plant in Lahore, Pakistan, is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing shift operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with the Potato Cold Store Manager, Warehouse Shift In-Charge, FG Shift In-Charge, and Shift Maintenance Team to drive business volumes in PC (Potato Chips) and NPC (Non-Potato Chips) segments. As a key enabler, you will drive essential KPIs such as potato net/basic efficiency, oil efficiency, corn efficiency, film efficiency, and energy efficiency. Beyond operations, this position leads employee engagement for permanent associates, champions Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) agendas, and maintains industrial peace in a sensitive IR environment, collaborating with Production and ER Managers.

  • Achieve or exceed critical metrics, including PC Basic & Net Efficiency, Oil Efficiency, Seasoning Efficiency, Corn Efficiency, and Film Efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with Quality and Food Safety Systems, adhering to PepsiCo standards, AIBI, IPS, and FSSC 22000 requirements during shifts.
  • Negotiate effective solutions with cross-functional shift teams to address quality issues, safety concerns, and downtime.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and follow up on action items in collaboration with cross-functional groups.
  • Focus on leadership development for shop floor teams, fostering positive employee relations and innovative engagement solutions.
  • Play an active role in OHS action planning and act as a credible advocate for PepsiCo values and new ways of working.
  • Work closely with Production Manager and ER team to maintain industrial peace during shift operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Food Technology.
  • Preferably 4-5 years of experience in a similar capacity within an operating organization, with exposure to Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR).
