As the Field Engineer, you will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for X-ray and Vascular modalities within a hospital or healthcare system in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a remote role that requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations and occasionally from home office.  To provide onsite customer support, candidate needs to be able to work in the Jacksonville FL area.

2nd Shift Schedule:  Hours 12 noon – 9pm, Monday thru Friday.

Job Description

Please note: This is a 2nd shift (12p-9p) EST.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients.

  • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols, to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree; OR military education equivalent to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; OR participant in the formal GE Healthcare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment. 

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Special Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch and squat, kneel and crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex and extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
