Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Experienced Mechanical engineer to join GE Healthcare HW engineering department in Rehovot developing and supporting gamma ray detectors.

Essential Responsibilities

• Leading hardware mechanical design activities to support ongoing manufacturing and drive NPI projects and cost saving projects.
• Collaborating with Electronic board design engineers to define mechanical design and perform design verification activities.  
• Owner of verification & validation activities, technical specification & engineering documentation including drawings.
• Support existing production lines process and working with suppliers introducing new products’.
• Working with local and global cross functional teams.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years industry experience in design.
• Proven record in Mechanical design for new hardware products from early concepts to mass manufacturing.
• Proven record in developing fixtures and jigs for product assembly and testing at both development and manufacturing environments.  
• Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD: Solid Works & Creo - Must
• Experience in product BOM build and engineering changes support.
• Experience in tolerance analysis and design for manufacturing.  
• Experience with finite element analysis tools- an advantage.  
• Previous experience with medical device regulation and QMS- an advantage.
