Position Summary
Sonoco is hiring a General Laborer at our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Menasha, WI. Starting pay is $25.80/hour, increasing to $26.80 after 60 days and $27.80 after six months. Earn up to $70,000 in your first year with shift differentials and double time on Sundays. Work rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) after a probationary period with 8-hour shifts. Support production with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity under the Shift Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams across departments for seamless operations.
- Monitor quality results and make incremental process adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and set up machines for new jobs.
- Safely operate forklifts and handle tasks like paper breaks, roll creation, rewinder threading, packaging, staging, and maintenance assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Industrial or paper machine experience preferred; forklift experience a plus.
- Basic computer skills, ability to read instructions and measuring devices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, attendance, and safety commitment.
- Physically capable: stand long periods, lift 25 lbs unassisted/50 lbs team, work in hot/cold environments.
- Team player available for rotating shifts in fast-paced setting.

- Separate, package, and stage roll products
- Collaborate with teams and make process adjustments
- Assist during machine maintenance outages
