  • Utilize NX CAD and TeamCenter to create and validate 3D models and perform articulation and GD&T studies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, benchmarking, and readiness assessments to guide program direction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, Vehicle Architecture, Manufacturing, Service Engineering, Body, HVAC, Powertrain) to optimize vehicle-level solutions.
  • Lead subsystem design reviews, DFMEA, CAE evaluations, and ensure robust design deliverables.
  • Support sourcing and validation processes, ensuring design maturity at program transition.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and drive technical training within the AVD Suspension Community.
  • Represent AVD in VCIT and ELT meetings, resolving packaging and integration issues.
  • Facilitate new technology insertion and translate lessons learned into best practices.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of suspension engineering experience, including 5+ years in advanced vehicle development.
  • Expertise in suspension dynamics, kinematics, and performance requirements.
  • Proficiency in NX CAD, TeamCenter, and GD&T application for complex assemblies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-serviceability principles.
  • Excellent physics-based critical thinking skills.
  • Strong project management and communication skills with ability to lead in ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Suspension architecture experience and recognized technical contributions (patents/publications).
  • Experience mentoring multidisciplinary teams and driving innovation.
