Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Philippines office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

Standard 9AM to 6PM flexi-time, may slide earlier or later depending on meetings with global teams like Middle East and Europe.

 

The Role

This People Leader is responsible for managing a team of finance professionals who handle backend processes for Aftersales relating to Vehicles and Parts & Accessories Pricing and related sales promotion activities, ensuring that processing is done with high quality – accurate, timely and complete; and migrations, if any, into the area from various organizations (business units, other GBS sites, etc.). This role also has a strong focus to lead process improvements and automation to drive quality, compliance, and acceleration of activities. More importantly, the People Leader plays a key role in maintaining a culture of success such as developing, coaching, motivating, and evaluating his/her team members' performance on a regular and consistent basis; and in guiding them in their career aspirations and career pathing.

 

What You'll Do:

> Manages, guides, and coaches a team of finance professionals who perform the following:

  • Operationally leads and executes backend processes for Aftersales relating to Vehicles and Parts & Accessories Pricing and related sales promotion activities, ensuring that processing is done with high quality – accurate, timely and complete

  • Partners with key stakeholders in securing information relevant to Vehicles and Parts & Accessories Price calculations

  • Analyzes and Interprets data for reporting requirements

  • Understands local and business trends that impact financial operations, including peaks and valleys of country performance and cost indicators

> Interacts with internal/external related parties (impacted Business Units, Global Controller’s Team, Global Finance Teams, etc.) and is considered as a leader and/or technical expert in areas of responsibilities and can ensure requirements are understood and met by internal and external resources

> Ensures compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirements

> Supports internal and external audits

> Understands, promotes, and documents an environment of effective controls within team and ensure team members understand company and regulatory requirements (i.e., SOX, record retention, audit, etc.) and are continually verifying all their actions and processes for compliance

> Strong focus on leading process improvements (including LEAN/OPEX) and automation to drive quality accounting and compliance, including:

  • Collaborating with the global teams on standardization and process improvement projects

  • Working effectively across teams

  • Ability to redefine processes and push for automation as needed

  • Troubleshooting of issues/systems/processes to identify/develop/ implement process for continuous improvements and ensure delivery of efficient and effective processes

  • Work on special projects and prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed

> Adept on people leadership such as to:

  • Train, develop, coach, motivate, and evaluate employees

  • Develop appropriate employee goal setting and development linked to specific job function goals, and assist with training, coaching, developing, and evaluating employees

  • Develop and implement improvements to create efficiencies, drive communization, and obtain savings

> Brings any suspected issues (accounting or control related) forward immediately and works to quickly find solutions thereto

> Timely, consistent, and effective communication of operational and other team matters with GBS Manager

> SAP system knowledge is an advantage (t-codes, asset module flow, etc.)

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • BA in Finance/Supply Chain/Accounting/Business or equivalent with strong foundation and experience in a shared service environment
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in people leadership
  • Leading by example: Physical presence at the office as required by the needs of the team or the organization such as workshops, training & development, office events (Townhalls, All People Meeting, etc.)
  • Experience in implementation, project management/leading, defining and re-engineering a process
  • Basic knowledge of operations finance related processes (Price Calculation and System Maintenance, Profit and Loss Analysis, Order Management and Materials Management for Customer Care and Aftersales)
  • Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX /Internal Control Requirements – additionally, continue to attend trainings on these topics to remain adequately informed and knowledgeable
  • Working knowledge of SAP and other GM systems as required for the assigned position (systems and level of knowledge necessary will vary – employee must be willing to continuously learn the GM systems landscape and functionality)
