  • Proven experience as a Business Development Representative focused on outbound prospecting (experience)
  • Experience prospecting into Department of Defense (DoD) accounts (experience)
  • Experience with Federal Systems Integrators (FSI) like government contractors (experience)
  • Excitement for GitLab’s Public Sector mission (experience)
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools critical to BDR success (experience)
  • Positive and energetic phone skills with excellent listening (experience)
  • Strong writing skills for effective outreach (experience)
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (experience)
  • Self-starter with credible achievements in sales development (experience)
  • Excellent written and spoken English (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Drive high-volume outbound prospecting into target accounts
  • Collaborate with 3-4 Account Executives on territories and account plans
  • Develop targeted campaigns to generate qualified pipeline
  • Grow engagement in strategic FSI accounts by identifying stakeholders
  • Qualify inbound and outbound interest in GitLab’s DevSecOps platform
  • Map account structures and uncover new opportunities
  • Partner with enablement teams for specialized public sector training
  • Contribute feedback to improve outreach messaging and processes
  • Ensure smooth handoffs to sales partners
  • Support new logo acquisition through targeted motions
