  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration (experience)
  • Experience documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data based on evidence (experience)
  • Skill in conducting win/loss and root cause analyses (experience)
  • Proficiency in negotiation and presenting to customer stakeholders (experience)
  • Interest in GitLab, open source software, and software development tools (experience)
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and willingness to contribute from diverse backgrounds (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Git and application lifecycle management (experience)
  • Experience in DevSecOps or related software platforms (experience)
  • Background in AI-powered productivity tools (experience)
  • Proven track record in mid-market account expansion (experience)
  • Skills in asynchronous collaboration across distributed teams (experience)
  • History of contributing to sales process improvements (experience)
  • Exposure to toolchain consolidation projects (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Report to an Area Sales Manager and own a broad book of mid-market business
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through negotiation and close
  • Articulate GitLab’s DevSecOps value proposition aligned to customer outcomes
  • Analyze wins and losses, contributing to root cause analyses and sharing insights
  • Document accurate buying criteria, processes, next steps, and owners for pipeline reliability
  • Contribute to improving the sales handbook with best practices
  • Provide account leadership across pre- and post-sales phases
  • Partner closely with technical teams and customer success
  • Represent the voice of the customer via product feedback in public issue tracker
  • Build trusted relationships and deliver meaningful business outcomes
