Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in backend development with Ruby on Rails, including building and maintaining production services. (experience)

  • Experience building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs that integrate with complex products or platforms. (experience)
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). (experience)
  • Experience working with frontend technologies such as JavaScript and frameworks like React or Vue.js. (experience)
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams with product management, data, and customer-facing teams. (experience)
  • Ability to work autonomously. (experience)
  • Interest in analytics, instrumentation, and privacy-focused data collection. (experience)
  • Strong skills in developing scalable backend services for high-volume data processing. (experience)
  • Proven track record in delivering evidence-based solutions through instrumentation. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analytics instrumentation capabilities to help teams understand product usage.
  • Build and optimize scalable backend services and data models in Ruby on Rails for high-volume event collection.
  • Develop and maintain robust APIs and developer-friendly tooling for product teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Data teams on end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement privacy-focused data collection patterns and compliance safeguards.
  • Work on backend and frontend components of analytics tools for intuitive experiences.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Refine internal events platform for scalable processing.
  • Support metrics dictionary and version app initiatives.
  • Deliver well-tested analytics workflows relied on by multiple teams.
