Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience delivering complex customer-facing technical consulting engagements from discovery to handover (experience)
- Strong background in professional services delivery models and aligning technical solutions with business goals (experience)
- Proven ability to design scalable architectures for DevOps platforms across on-premises and cloud environments (experience)
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams with clear technical direction and shared accountability (experience)
- Deep familiarity with modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD and infrastructure as code (experience)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible (experience)
- Excellent communication skills to lead discovery sessions and explain concepts to diverse stakeholders (experience)
- Ability to translate requirements into robust reference architectures and implementation roadmaps (experience)
- Experience implementing DevOps practices in enterprise environments (experience)
- Familiarity with GitLab Environment Toolkit and migration tools like Congregate (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DORA metrics and software delivery performance measurement (experience)
- Knowledge of GitLab Flow and DORA best practices (experience)
- Expertise in GitLab Duo AI features including code generation and agentic workflows (experience)
- Background supporting Regional Delivery Managers with technical vetting (experience)
- Experience creating reusable documentation and delivery kits (experience)
- Familiarity with GitLab product releases and proactive enablement (experience)
- Skills in risk identification and trade-off discussions during scoping (experience)
- Ability to provide level-of-effort estimates for complex Statements of Work (experience)
- Experience in large-scale enterprise migrations to GitLab (experience)
- Strength in building trusted advisor relationships with customers and partners (experience)
Responsibilities
- Guide customers through complex engagements to realize full GitLab platform value
- Own end-to-end technical architecture from discovery through validation
- Design infrastructure, security, and integration architectures aligned with customer goals
- Lead large-scale migrations from source systems to GitLab
- Provide DevSecOps consulting on GitLab Flow, DORA practices, and AI-assisted development
- Mentor Professional Services and partner consultants on implementations
- Scope Statements of Work with Engagement Managers and provide architecture recommendations
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand business goals and constraints
- Stay current on GitLab releases and share insights through enablement sessions
- Support technical vetting of consultants and staffing assessments
