Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated progressive experience delivering complex, customer-facing technical consulting engagements from discovery to handover (experience)
- Strong background in professional services delivery models and technical consulting (experience)
- Proven ability to design and document scalable architectures for DevOps platforms including infrastructure, security, and integrations (experience)
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams with clear technical direction and shared accountability (experience)
- Deep familiarity with modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices including source code management, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (experience)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools particularly Terraform and Ansible (experience)
- Familiarity with migration tools like Congregate and GitLab Environment Toolkit (experience)
- Excellent communication skills to lead technical discovery and explain concepts to diverse stakeholders (experience)
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into quality, reusable deliverables (experience)
- Experience implementing DevSecOps in enterprise environments (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DORA metrics and software delivery performance measurement (experience)
- Ability to establish baselines, set improvement goals, and track metrics like deployment frequency and lead time (experience)
- Knowledge of GitLab Flow and DORA best practices (experience)
- Expertise in AI-assisted development practices with GitLab Duo features (experience)
- Background in large-scale enterprise migrations from source systems (experience)
- Proficiency in on-premises and cloud environment architectures (experience)
- Skills in creating Statements of Work and level-of-effort estimates (experience)
- Experience with technical vetting of consultants and staffing assessments (experience)
- Familiarity with GitLab product releases, features, and analytics capabilities (experience)
- Ability to provide training materials and delivery kits for engagements (experience)
Responsibilities
- Guide customers through complex engagements to realize full GitLab platform value
- Own end-to-end technical architecture from discovery, scoping, design, to validation
- Deliver high-level architectures for infrastructure, security, and integrations
- Lead large-scale migrations from source systems to GitLab
- Provide DevSecOps consulting on frameworks like GitLab Flow and AI practices
- Lead and mentor Professional Services and partner consultants on implementations
- Scope Statements of Work, conduct discovery sessions, and provide architecture recommendations
- Stay current on GitLab releases and share updates via enablement sessions
- Support technical vetting of partners and staffing for complex projects
- Collaborate with Engagement Managers, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams
