Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in software engineering with recent focus on AI/ML solutions, automation, or platform engineering (experience)

- Knowledge of agentic orchestration frameworks and RAG architectures (experience)
- Comfortable working with APIs, integration patterns, and data management (experience)
- Hands-on experience integrating with business systems such as CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo, HubSpot), support platforms (Zendesk), and financial systems (experience)
- Deep understanding of multiple business functions including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations (experience)
- Track record of owning complex initiatives from discovery through delivery (experience)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to define KPIs and measure impact (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging non-technical stakeholders (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitLab platform and CI/CD workflows (experience)
- Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles (experience)
- Previous startup or high-growth company experience (experience)
- Experience mentoring or leading technical projects with junior engineers (experience)

- Proven product mindset for scoping MVPs and iterative delivery (experience)

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives from stakeholder engagement through deployment
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions with rapid iteration and tangible ROI
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing business systems via APIs and integration layers
- Leverage and showcase GitLab's AI offerings as Customer Zero
- Partner consultatively with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities
- Define success metrics, track adoption, and demonstrate business impact
- Contribute to technology selection, architectural decisions, and technical roadmap
- Set technical standards, document solutions, and create reusable frameworks
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Stay current with AI innovations and evaluate new technologies
