Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Manage day-to-day global safety and security operations for Datadog’s regional offices in the Americas, including our global HQ in NYC, while assisting global initiatives.
  • Oversee critical areas like investigations, health/safety compliance, security risk management, travel safety, event security, budgeting, crisis management, emergency response, property loss, and security systems.
  • Document and disseminate security protocols, developing enterprise-wide access control standards, policies, technical solutions, safety protocols, and emergency training.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and collaborate with Office Operations, Real Estate, IT, Legal, Executive Assistants, Events, and People teams for alignment.
  • Execute daily operations for workplace safety and security, manage contract security personnel, and respond to office incidents efficiently.
  • Identify long-term organizational needs and develop strategic plans to secure executive approval, resources, and execute milestones.
  • Provide leadership briefings on assessments, corrective actions, impacts, and urgency.
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises for emergency preparedness, crisis management, and resilience across regional offices.
  • Enforce Datadog’s security policies regionally while integrating with our cloud observability platform for enhanced monitoring.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years in corporate physical security and safety in global environments, with AMER expertise.
  • 5+ years as a full-time people manager.
  • Proven experience managing safety/security ops in tech, building programs and incident response.
  • Expertise in physical security programs: Executive Protection, Event Security, Travel Security.
  • Knowledge of global technical security systems, architectural reviews, and physical design.
  • Strong enterprise risk management, assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication for executives; proven vendor management.

  • Skilled in managing all aspects of a physical security program, including Executive Protection, Event Security, and Travel Security (experience)
  • Knowledgeable about global technical security monitoring systems, with experience reviewing architectural plans and planning physical security design (experience)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey security information across all levels of the organization with specific focus to executives (experience)
