Role Overview

Canonical seeks a Golang Engineering Manager for its Commercial Systems unit, a critical hub of six engineering teams collaborating with business and engineering groups. This remote EMEA-based role focuses on high-impact internal products like Billing and Livepatch. The Billing team builds scalable Golang services to convert metrics into billable amounts, integrate with payment systems, and provide real-time spend visibility. The Livepatch team delivers kernel patches to minimize exploit windows for Linux vulnerabilities, emphasizing security, reliability, and Golang-based clients and backends. Key Responsibilities

As Golang Engineering Manager, you hold accountability for an internal product's design and development. Lead a team of software engineers specializing in Golang, fostering their skill growth while upholding high quality standards.
