Job Description

In this role, you will be part of labor relations professionals. You will build and manage the relationship with local Labor Management Councils/Committees (LMCs), building on Google’s culture and values. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Business Law, Human Resources, a related field (degree)
  • 10 years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience (experience)
  • Experience managing ambiguity and analyzing metrics (experience)
  • Experience in leading and implementing global, HR operational projects (experience)
  • Understanding of local labour law and labour relations environment (experience)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationship with employee representatives and third parties work together with the Business and other stakeholders (People Ops, Employee Relations, Employment Legal) to ensure Google’s compliance with its information and consultation obligations under local legislation.
  • Provide leadership to mitigate risk and build constructive labour relations with employee representatives in Japan.
  • Evaluate and improve labour relations processes to increase efficiency, taking into account local legal requirements.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training to improve labour relations acumen and skills across HR and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted and expert advisor to HR and management on labor relations issues. This includes monitoring and analyzing internal and external trends, regulatory changes and providing guidance for HR and leaders.
