Superhuman's Android Writing Assistant, launched in 2023, has seen explosive growth with users engaging 70+ times daily. You'll build features that make professional writing seamless on mobile devices, tackling real-time AI integration, performance optimization, and delightful UX in resource-constrained environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered writing features from concept to Google Play Store
  2. Design scalable Android architectures using MVVM, Jetpack Compose, and Clean Architecture patterns
  3. Optimize app performance for sub-16ms frame rendering and minimal battery drain
  4. Implement real-time ML model integration for context-aware writing suggestions
  5. Build accessible, responsive UIs following Material Design 3 guidelines
  6. Develop offline-first data sync using Room and WorkManager
  7. Create comprehensive test coverage (85%+) with unit, integration, and Espresso tests
  8. Lead code reviews and mentor engineers on Android best practices
  9. Monitor production metrics via Firebase and proactively resolve ANRs/crashes
  10. Drive A/B experiments to validate feature impact on user engagement
  11. Maintain CI/CD pipelines for weekly production releases
  12. Research emerging Android APIs to maintain technical leadership
  13. Collaborate on i18n/l10n for global market expansion
  14. Contribute to open-source when aligned with business goals

Qualifications

Senior-level Android expertise required:
