As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll own the architecture, performance, and reliability of our desktop applications, ensuring they run flawlessly across diverse hardware configurations in Latin America and beyond.

This role demands deep expertise in browser JavaScript, DOM manipulation, and desktop app optimization. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers (Golang, Postgres), mobile teams (Swift, Kotlin), and AI specialists to deliver seamless experiences that help users get through their work twice as fast.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining high-performance desktop applications with minimal CPU, memory, and thread usage
• Profiling runtime performance, identifying memory leaks, blocking operations, and rendering bottlenecks
• Implementing targeted optimizations to prevent performance regressions across releases
• Evolving frontend architecture through modularity, clear dependency boundaries, and proper layering
• Establishing and enforcing code quality standards including linting, style guides, and automated checks
• Building robust error handling, crash reporting, and graceful degradation mechanisms
• Defining API contracts, versioning strategies, and compatibility guarantees with backend teams
• Instrumenting comprehensive telemetry, metrics, and logging for production monitoring
• Mentoring junior frontend engineers on best practices and architectural decisions
• Driving continuous improvement across the entire frontend codebase
• Collaborating with QA and infrastructure teams to ensure release reliability
• Optimizing user flows and app health monitoring in production environments

Qualifications

We're looking for senior talent with:

• 8+ years of professional frontend development experience spanning database to UI
• Deep browser JavaScript expertise including DOM APIs and platform capabilities
• Advanced React and TypeScript proficiency in large-scale applications
• Electron desktop app development experience with performance optimization
• Proven track record preventing memory leaks and optimizing rendering performance
• Experience architecting scalable frontend systems with clear boundaries
• Strong code quality discipline (linting, testing, static analysis, code review)
• Cross-functional collaboration with backend, mobile, and infrastructure teams
• AI enthusiasm and understanding of AI-enhanced productivity tools
• Must be based in Latin America for this remote position

Bonus points for experience with Google Cloud Platform, Golang microservices, or native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin).
