Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As Group Leader, Wastewater Operations, you'll drive efficiency and safety in Rivian's Normal, IL facility. Key duties include:

  • Team Management: Planning projects based on team availability and skills, providing coaching and feedback, managing timecards, reviews, and time off.
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinating long-term projects, maintaining 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) via plant walks, and escalating issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Filling in as operator, leading continuous improvement, performing water sampling, lab analysis, and contaminant identification.
  • Safety & Compliance: Upholding safety protocols for chemicals, pumps, tanks; ensuring inventory of chemicals and equipment.
  • System Knowledge: Supporting WWT and RO systems, informing PMs, BOMs, spare parts for maintenance.
  • Launch Support: Assisting new plant launches, ramp-ups, and production scaling.
  • Inventory & Tools: Providing teams with necessary materials and checking stock levels.
  • Process Improvement: Promoting standardized work, SOPs, and quick pivots on escalations.

Qualifications & Requirements
