Role Description

Drive Guardian’s Dental PPO and DHMO network strategy through advanced pricing analytics and data-driven insights. This hybrid Dental Network Pricing Analyst role in Bethlehem, PA, focuses on data analysis, evaluating provider economics, modeling fee schedules, and optimizing discount structures to ensure competitive pricing and sustainable network performance. You'll support analytical initiatives that influence reimbursement strategies, pricing proposals, and enhance financial outcomes for Guardian’s dental networks. Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and network teams in a dynamic environment. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office (Holmdel, NJ; Bethlehem, PA; Boston, MA; or Hudson Yards, NYC) + 2 days WFH. Up to 10% travel to other offices.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Support pricing analytics: Model and analyze provider economics, fee schedule impacts, and discount structures to inform strategic pricing decisions in dental networks.
  • Develop pricing tools and dashboards: Build automated reporting solutions and analytical models using Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL to support underwriting, network development, and sales teams.
  • Support proposals and RFPs: Deliver accurate network discount and cost metrics for competitive bids, RFPs, and strategic initiatives in the dental insurance space.
  • Optimize reimbursement processes: Maintain and update fee schedules, payment calculations, and pricing methodologies for PPO and DHMO dental products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with actuarial, underwriting, network development, and sales teams to ensure pricing integrity, actionable insights, and alignment on healthcare economics.
  • Drive process improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance pricing models, data visualization, and analytical workflows for better financial outcomes.
  • Present insights: Communicate complex pricing analytics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing dental network strategy.

Required Skills

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills. Ideal candidates excel in:

  • Advanced Excel (PivotTables, complex formulas, data modeling)
  • SQL for data querying and analysis
  • Python or R for data analysis and automation
  • Alteryx or similar ETL tools (preferred)
  • Tableau or other visualization tools
  • Pricing and cost modeling expertise
  • Financial analysis in healthcare or insurance
  • Cross-functional collaboration and presentation skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with focus on pricing, cost modeling, and provider economics.
  • 0–3 years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate strategy, management consulting, or healthcare analytics.
  • Understanding of healthcare economics, dental provider reimbursement, or insurance networks is a plus.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $56,650 - $84,970 annually. This good faith estimate reflects base pay for the primary Bethlehem, PA location. Actual salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation. Competitive total rewards package.

Role Description
