Role Description

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial Enterprise Strategy Leader for Guardian’s Enterprise Strategy team in New York, United States. In this highly visible role, you will develop long-range plans for Guardian, partner with senior leaders to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver strategic initiatives across the organization. Reporting to Guardian’s Head of Strategic Growth & Planning, you will lead internal consulting engagements, solve critical strategic questions for the Leadership Team, and work closely with business units, corporate functions, Enterprise Strategy associates, and analysts. This position offers exposure to C-suite agendas, cross-functional expertise, and the opportunity to coach emerging talent.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Enterprise-wide strategy development: Define strategic direction with near-term and long-term priorities, supported by research, analytics, logical problem-solving, and strategic frameworks.
  • Internal strategy consulting: Partner with senior sponsors to execute deep-dive projects on high-priority topics for business units and corporate functions.
  • Growth initiatives and innovation: Assess business cases for new ideas, partnerships, and investments beyond business-as-usual (BAU). Identify and implement cross-cutting strategic initiatives critical to Guardian’s success.
  • Strategic content development: Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer to create agendas, content, and analysis for key forums like the annual Board Strategy Session and Guardian Leadership Team offsite.
  • Strategic engagement: Conduct two-way dialogues with business unit and functional leaders via formal and informal channels to share plans, gather feedback, and address challenges.
  • Direct quantitative and qualitative analyses of operational and financial data; oversee industry and competitor research to evaluate Guardian’s positioning.
  • Coach and develop Enterprise Strategy analysts and associates, fostering a high-performance team environment.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $178,690 - $293,560 annually, commensurate with experience. This competitive compensation reflects the high-impact nature of the role in New York’s dynamic market.
